One Mediator

There is one God and one Mediator between
God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
– 1 Timothy 2:5 –

There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. All other roads are false. All other means of approaching God and satisfying His justice will only provoke Him to wrath. No good works we do will ever be enough, which is why we need someone to stand between God and the rest of us.

Jesus is our one and only Mediator, who is not only more than we deserve but also completely sufficient to save us from our sin.

The fact that we all come to God through Jesus Christ unites all Christians. None of us should boast in particular works of righteousness as though they paid our debt. Christ is our source of righteousness, and He is our representative before God. The Father received us because He first received Jesus.

We cannot be united with people who try to approach God any other way. They subscribe to a different faith and proclaim a different message of salvation. “The faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3) is the faith that exalts Jesus Christ as the only Mediator between God and men.
